WALCHERS – Alpine hospitality with a vision

WALCHERS is a family-run company based in the heart of the Alps with a deep connection to the region and its people. With the aim of creating authentic vacation experiences, we run two family-owned hotels: the Aparthotel Ursprung and the Naturhotel Edelweiss in Wagrain. Both establishments exemplify our philosophy: personal hospitality, sustainable management and the highest quality of service and facilities.

With around 26,000 overnight stays a year and a dedicated team of 40 employees, we are one of the established hosts in the region. Our focus is on destinations in the Alpine region that impress with their closeness to nature, cultural diversity and recreational quality.

Sustainable tourism is not a trend for us, but a central corporate principle. We focus on regional value creation, environmentally conscious offers and responsible growth.

We are continuously expanding our portfolio so that we can continue to offer our guests unique and contemporary vacation experiences in the future – always with the quality promise and the WALCHERS signature.

We are happy when guests come and want to be good hosts. Everyone is welcome and warmly received as a friend. Honest, down-to-earth and sincere treatment is at the heart of everything we do.

All actions should be taken in the interests of future generations. Our scope of action extends to economic, social and ecological activities.

Our attachment to tradition is an essential part of our philosophy and should influence everything we do. Through innovative ideas, we try to reinterpret traditions without abandoning their core values.

We always act in a goal-oriented manner and prefer to work as a team towards a common goal and our vision and mission.

We are honest with each other and try to solve any problems together and quickly. Discussing problems together quickly unites us and helps us to implement our shared corporate culture.

We try to create a high level of transparency in the team so that everyone in the team is always informed about who is doing what and by when. Through this openness, we create a better corporate culture and also input from other areas of the company. This in turn increases the level of innovation in the company.

Reflection.
We try to apply and reflect on what we have learned. By reflecting on what we have learned, we can learn together from mistakes and thus continuously develop our corporate culture.

Responsibility.
When it comes to our obligations and responsibilities, it is of the utmost importance for us to remain true to our values and to act honestly and fairly. We try to seize opportunities and also recognize when we have to put something on hold. We take responsibility for our actions (commitments).
